AML SAR Writer

Location: New Castle, DE (Local candidates preferred, open to remote as well)

Duration – 6 to 12 months with possibilities of extension or conversion

Payrate - $30 - $33/hr

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Compliance Analyst to join our client’s CRIU team . In this role, you will manage a caseload of investigations, analyze transactions, and ensure compliance with AML policies and procedures. You will conduct thorough research, document findings, and create Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) in line with regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review system-generated and manual cases for suspicious activity.
• Document and report investigation findings and prepare case files.
• Conduct research using Bank systems, databases, and external sources.
• Analyze financial transactions and identify unusual patterns.
• Follow up with relevant contacts to gather additional case information.
• Prepare SARs, and recommend relationship retention or termination.
• Collaborate with internal teams (AML Legal, ACRM, CSIS, Law Enforcement, etc.).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 1-5 years of AML, financial investigations, or transaction review experience.
• CAMS certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of AML laws, including BSA, USA PATRIOT Act, and FinCEN.
• Experience with SAR writing is preferred.
• Strong research, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).

• Ability to multitask and work independently.
