Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled. reliable, and Resident-focused professional to join our team as the Building Superintendent for a prestigious condominium association in Stamford, CT. This is a crucial role responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, and overall physical condition and safety of our property. This role is vital in ensuring that the building functions smoothly, efficiently, and safely, providing a comfortable environment for all Residents. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for maintaining high standards of facilities management.

Duties

• Perform general maintenance, including light plumbing, electrical, carpentry, plastering, and drywall repair.
• Implement and manage a preventative maintenance schedule for all building systems and common areas.
• Oversee and coordinate work performed by external contractors to ensure high-quality results.
• Respond promptly and professionally to resident maintenance requests and move-in/move-out needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and curb appeal of common areas, grounds, and refuse areas.
• Be available for on-call emergencies and after-hours maintenance issues.
• Conduct regular inspections to proactively identify maintenance needs.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience as a Building Superintendent, Facility Manager, or similar role in a residential or hospitality setting.
• Strong knowledge of building systems (plumbing, electrical, life safety).
• Hands-on experience with a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Bonus: Relevant certifications or licenses (e.g., boiler operator license, handyman certifications).
• A strong commitment to customer service and a professional demeanor.
