Royal Caribbean Group’s Data Analytics and AI Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Business Intelligence Data Analyst reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Intelligence .

This is an in-person role in our headquarters in Miami, Florida.

Position Summary

As part of the Enterprise BI Solutions team, the BI Data Analyst will assist RCG business stakeholders and team members in developing end to end BI solutions, defining data requirements, and project scope. This role will also provide ongoing BI Solutions development and BI systems admin support as needed, ensuring development best practice and optimal performance. The analyst will also perform related duties including user access and workspace management. Additionally, they will contribute to targeted Enterprise BI development projects, providing ongoing support and enhancements to ensure that solutions remain effective and aligned with organizational goals. The analyst will participate and contribute to RCG’s BI Center of Excellence, by sharing best practices, provide user training, contribute to CoE communications and staying up to date and informed about emerging BI/AI trends.

Key Responsibilities

  • BI Report, Dashboard & Data Development: Assist internal stakeholders in understanding their BI and data needs, aligning priorities with business objectives. Support the development of dashboards, routine reports, automated reporting tools, ad-hoc reports, and critical business analytics essential for data-driven decision-making and insights.
  • Strategic Insights/Opportunities: Collaborate with business leaders and subject matter experts to identify opportunities where BI solutions can enhance strategic decision-making, improve revenue, reduce cost and streamline operations, as well as support the implementation of BI/Analytic solutions tailored to business needs.
  • Power BI Systems Administration: Assist BI Systems team with administration, supporting user access, security settings, and workspace management. Ensuring optimal performance and availability of Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Power BI Development: Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models. Implement best practices for data visualization and report performance optimization.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to the BI CoE (Center of Excellence) by sharing knowledge, CoE communications contributions, developer/user training, and educating enterprise BI users on end-to-end BI development best practices. Assist in establishing and evolving enterprise-wide standards, methodologies, and maintaining the BI CoE knowledge base and BI community resources.
  • Innovation and Research: Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in BI, AI, data analytics, and data integration. Support the recommendation of new strategies, systems, and tools to improve the organization’s capabilities, enhance knowledge bases, and improve BI platform performance.

Qualifications And Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Analytics, or a related field is preferred. Alternatively, relevant work experience will be considered.
  • 2-4 years of experience in BI/Data dashboard and report development.
  • Familiarity with BI systems, data integration, and the development of BI/Data/Analytics Solutions.
  • Proficiency in BI platforms and related tools such as Power BI.
  • Experience in Power BI administration, including managing user access, security settings, and workspace management.
  • Familiarity with data integration & orchestration platforms such as Azure Data Factory or similar technologies.
  • Understanding of SQL development best practices using programming languages such as Oracle PL/SQL, Transact SQL, or Python.
  • Knowledge of BI systems architecture and database platforms, both on-premises and cloud-based (SaaS) platforms.
  • Ability to work well with non-technical business partners.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver results in a timely manner with consistency and precision.
  • Strong project and time management skills to successfully navigate multifaceted responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team.
