This individual will organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner. Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall planning and coordination of civil construction projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Determine the resources needed (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, etc. to determine the specifications of the project
  • Monitor and enforce safety procedures and compliance with regulations and quality control standards
  • Review and approve project documentation, including contracts, RFIs, change orders, and progress reports
  • Plan all construction operations and scheduling intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
  • Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics, etc. and provide guidance when needed
  • Provide regular updates to senior management, architects and owners on project status and progress
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report any issues

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Proven experience managing large-scale civil projects
  • Must be able to read blueprints
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • PMP or equivalent certification is a plus
