POSITION LOCATION:

EMPLOYMENT SPECIFICS:

Full-Time (Exempt Professional/Technical Appointment, 260 days), 1.0FTE

PURPOSE/SUMMARY OF JOB:

The position serves as a part of a comprehensive team of communications, marketing, and recruitment staff to provide services and support to carry out comprehensive marketing, recruiting, student success, and retention programs for prospective and current students, including underrepresented populations. Conducts outreach including making presentations, conducts campus tours, coordinates school visitations, and participates in college fairs, community activities, and business events. Cultivates partnerships with high school counselors and advisors, under-served groups, community agencies, alumni, and staff to meet college goals and enhance recruitment initiatives. Advises prospective students regarding educational planning, and transfer opportunities. Collaborates with Regional Center staff to support recruitment and social engagement throughout the MCC service area. Develops simple marketing materials to support enrollment and student involvement. Must travel as necessary to carry out job duties and participate in evening and weekend commitments. This position shall perform all duties while promoting opportunities for inclusion, expressing the valuing of differences, and regularly demonstrating the college's commitment to the Guiding Principles.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate's degree.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish.
• Ability to create and present presentations with charisma and an engaging style.
• Effective public speaking and communication skills, and able to work with diverse constituencies.
• Experience with developing, implementing, and monitoring social media engagement.
• Knowledge and appreciation of the value and advantages of a community college education.
• Computer skills in MS Office, presentation software, and database experience or customer relations management software.
• Long and/or irregular hours necessitated by recruitment, events, special projects, compliance with deadlines.
• Ability to travel throughout MCC's service area as necessary to carry out job duties.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• Experience in higher education student recruitment.

Anticipated Start Date: April 2025

Salary and Benefits:

$55,300 - $63,595 based on education, skills and experience. Benefits include health, life, dental and vision insurance, LTD & benefit package in accordance with Colorado Community College and Occupational Education System policies. No relocation assistance is provided.

About Morgan Community College (MCC):

MCC is one of 13 colleges comprising the Colorado Community College System (CCCS). The college has consistently been named a Great College to Work For by the Chronicle of Higher Education in the past decade.

MCC is located on I-76, 80 miles northeast of Denver and approximately 100 miles east of Rocky Mountain National Park. MCC provides high quality lower division transferable courses and occupational education culminating in a variety of certificate, associate, and baccalaureate degree programs through traditional, innovative, and non-traditional delivery methods to an 11,500 square mile service area in eastern Colorado.

The College serves this vast, rural, agricultural area from its main campus in Fort Morgan and through four regional locations in Bennett, Limon, Burlington and Wray. These locations are 75 to 150 miles from the campus in Fort Morgan.
