Objective

U.S. Environmental Rental Corporation, a leader in environmental testing equipment rentals, is seeking a dedicated and detailed oriented Corporate Buyer. It is the responsibility of the Corporate Buyer to provide support to Site Directors, Sales staff, and CSRs by running inventory reports, making comparative cost analyses, verifying sales price, and/or other similarly assigned projects. Additionally, it is the responsibility of the Corporate Buyer to manage our rental fleet inventory. It is also the responsibility of the Buyer to create and maintain excellent relationships with our Vendors to maintain the best service we can provide to our staff and clients. This position requires excellent organizational skills, a professional presence, diplomacy, and time management, as well as the ability to understand and adapt to changing or fluid business needs.
Essential Responsibilities
· Although this position manages buying and inventories, additional assignments may include work in any department, including accounting, HR, safety initiatives, and/or operations.
· Buy consumable products and equipment to be resold to clients. Establish competitive but profitable pricing.
· Buy and receive equipment to be assigned to our rental fleet as fixed assets.
· Create and understand the relationship of our sales items with respect to buying, selling, and inventories.
· Collect and organize the documentation that accompanies purchasing activities. Examples include, but are not limited to, purchase orders, order acknowledgements, packing lists, invoices, certificates of calibration, SDS sheets, and certificates of analysis.
· Oversee all purchase orders. Coordinate their receiving in each office through designated staff and approve of the invoice for payment. Correct all inaccuracies.
· Oversee a bi-annual physical inventory for consumable items. Provide a year-end inventory count for consumable inventories to our accounting staff for tax filings.
· Oversee a quarterly physical inventory for fixed assets. Use those reports to reconcile any inconsistencies with client contracts, research lost or missing assets, and disposition assets as appropriate.
· Make process improvements as inefficiencies are discovered.
· Negotiate pricing on commodity items. Use long-term purchases to attain lower prices where applicable. Arrange for stocking and drop-shipping where applicable.
· Assist in drafting, formatting, and proofreading reports, presentations, and/or other company documents for the corporate team's monthly financial reviews.
· Collaborate with upper management to ensure seamless communication, workflow, and overall efficiency between corporate and all five USENV branches.
· Accurately and proactively assess requirements for each project/request. Communicate effectively with requestors and service providers, addressing questions or issues promptly and professionally.
· Manage sensitive and confidential information with confidentiality and a high level of discretion.
· Build positive and productive relationships with all USENV management staff.
· Manage time and priorities to ensure deadlines are met. Work autonomously and productively.
