In our 1:1 ABA settings, you will engage directly with children aged 18 months to 8 years old, employing ethical, evidence-based ABA techniques in a nurturing, center-based atmosphere. With excellent supervision, continuous training, and a dedicated team, you will make a meaningful impact every single day! Your Role as a Behavior Therapist Implement one-on-one ABA therapy to help children with Autism maximize their potential by following treatment plans, collecting data, documenting insurance notes, and applying feedback from supervisors during observation sessions. Foster child development through engaging and enjoyable therapeutic activities tailored for early childhood (ages 18 months to 8 years). Collaborate with your team to ensure effective treatment, safety, and a positive working environment throughout the center. Engage with children in playful ways—this may include active play such as running, dancing, and singing, or quieter activities like reading stories or playing with toys. Your enthusiasm will help maintain a joyful atmosphere. Communicate effectively with peers, families, and supervisors to coordinate activities, celebrate achievements, and express personal needs. Job Requirements Physical ability to lift and move children, which includes lifting up to 30 lbs, bending, squatting, and actively moving around to engage with young ones and maintain a safe environment. Maintain a therapeutic environment by keeping play areas organized and conducive to a stimulating experience for children. Strong multitasking skills to handle various tasks and conversations simultaneously while prioritizing safety. Collaborative mindset in working cohesively within your center and potentially supporting nearby centers as needed. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. Must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Complete the RBT certification process within 20 days of employment, which includes passing a 40-hour training course, a hands-on competency assessment, registering for the exam, and passing the board exam. The ABC Advantage Guaranteed full-time hours, even with patient cancellations. Regular raises and promotions every 6 months based on clear feedback and goal setting. Eligible for a yearly tenure bonus as a Behavior Technician or RBT. Small caseloads for BCBAs to provide focused, individualized care for each child and increased supervisor oversight. Fully paid training, including the costs associated with obtaining your RBT certification. No-cost supervision; no deductions for supervision hours. Competitive salary based on experience and education: High School/Associates: $15.00 - $22.50 per hour Bachelor's Degree: $15.00 - $24.00 per hour Master's Degree: $16.00 - $26.00 per hour Entry-level candidates earn their first raise upon obtaining RBT certification, typically within 21 days. Experience in the following areas is advantageous: Childcare (nanny, babysitter, preschool teacher, tutor, etc.) Mental health roles (QMHP, behavioral health technicians) Camp counselors, volunteers, or Sunday school teachers Degrees in teaching, special education, sociology, psychology, or related fields are preferred Experience as paraprofessionals, direct support, or life skills assistants A passion for working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder A desire to join a supportive, team-oriented culture We are looking forward to connecting with you soon!
