About the Role

As the Head of Sales Operations, you will oversee the end-to-end onboarding and implementation process , ensuring that merchants move efficiently from application to activation . This role is a key liaison between underwriting, risk, and sales , ensuring all pending items are addressed, approvals are streamlined, and merchants are onboarded smoothly. Additionally, you will s upport the sales team by providing updates on merchant approvals, resolving onboarding roadblocks, and ensuring a seamless transition from signed deal to live processing.

What You’ll Do

✅ Merchant Onboarding & Implementation

• Manage the entire merchant lifecycle from application submission to approval, setup, and go-live .
• Track and follow up on pending items , ensuring all necessary documents and information are collected promptly.
• Facilitate a smooth transition from underwriting approval to full merchant activation .

✅ Liaison Between Underwriting, Risk & Sales

• Act as the central point of contact between underwriting, risk, and sales teams to move merchants efficiently through the approval process .
• Ensure underwriting has all necessary details to process approvals without delays.
• Provide timely updates to the sales team on merchant approval status, pending items, and next steps .

✅ Sales & Merchant Support

• Support the sales team by ensuring a seamless handoff from merchant sign-up to underwriting and onboarding .
• Address merchant inquiries related to onboarding, approval status, and implementation steps .
• Work closely with merchants to guide them through setup, compliance requirements, and platform configuration .

✅ Process Optimization & Reporting

• Maintain real-time tracking of merchant applications , pending approvals, and follow-ups.
• Improve communication channels and workflows to reduce onboarding delays.
• Provide insights and reporting to optimize the merchant activation process .

Requirements

✔ 3+ years experience in merchant operations, underwriting coordination, or payment processing .

✔ Strong understanding of ACH, eCheck processing, underwriting workflows, and compliance requirements .

✔ Highly organized with the ability to track multiple merchant applications and pending items.

✔ Excellent communication skills to liaise between underwriting, risk, sales, and support teams .

✔ Experience working with CRM systems, merchant applications, and payment processing platforms .
