Job Description
The Junior FEMA Public Assistance (PA) Specialist will support disaster recovery efforts in Florida, focusing on post-hurricane disaster scenarios. This role involves working closely with FEMA and local government officials to provide supplemental disaster grant assistance for the repair, replacement, and restoration of disaster-damaged public facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct virtual site damage inspections and assessments.
· Develop cost estimates and scopes of work for disaster recovery projects.
· Participate in virtual exploratory calls and recovery scoping meetings.
· Review and validate project documentation.
· Determine hazard mitigation requirements.
· Provide guidance on environmental and historic preservation reviews.
Qualifications:
· Previous experience with FEMA Public Assistance (PA) is preferred.
· Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
· Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Pro.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
