MV Transportation is seeking a  Maintenance Data Entry Clerk . This role plays a vital role in supporting the transit maintenance team by ensuring accurate and timely daily entry of maintenance records, work orders, inventory transactions, and compliance documentation into the maintenance management system. This position supports effective decision-making and compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards by maintaining organized, up-to-date data and reports.

Job Responsibilities:  

• Enter and update vehicle maintenance records, work orders, parts usage, inspections, and preventive maintenance schedules in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Maintain filing systems for maintenance records, inspection forms, warranty documents, and compliance reports.
• Generate scheduled and ad hoc maintenance reports for internal and regulatory use (e.g., FTA, DOT, OSHA).
• Support vehicle history tracking by maintaining comprehensive and accurate vehicle service logs.
• Coordinate with mechanics, supervisors, and vendors to gather or clarify information as needed.
• Assist in preparing documentation for audits and inspections.
• Perform data integrity checks and notify management of inconsistencies or missing data.
• Provide clerical and administrative support to the maintenance department as required (e.g., answering phones, scheduling, documentation).
• Ability to file paperwork accurately.  
• Ability to follow policy and procedures implement by MV Transportation, Inc.  
• Ability to maintain paperwork logs.  
• Perform reasonable requests for supervisor.  
• Other duties as they may apply.  

Talent Requirements:  

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Mjust be at least 18 years of age
• Minimum 1 year of data entry, administrative support, or maintenance office experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience using a CMMS (e.g., Trapeze, FleetFocus, or similar) preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedule.  
• Basic math skills and at tention to detail.  
• Ability to perform work accurately and error free.  
• Proficient with Microsoft Office package including word processing and spreadsheets.  
• Ability to work in a  fast-paced multi-tasking environment.  
• Ability to read, write and speak English.  
• Ability to communicate effectively on all levels.  

Starting pay rate: $24.62/hr
