Eastern Sheet Metal, an Air Distribution Technologies, Inc. Subsidiary specializes in delivering high-quality HVAC sheet metal solutions, including standard and custom ductwork and fittings. We pride ourselves on precise engineering, durable materials, and a commitment to excellence in serving HVAC installers, commercial buildings, and industrial spaces. As a leader in the industry, we’re looking for a dedicated Manufacturing Engineer to join our team and contribute to our continued success.

Manufacturing Engineer will provide technical expertise and hands-on support to enhance production efficiency, improve quality, and reduce costs. This role collaborates with maintenance, production teams, and external vendors to ensure safe, efficient, and innovative manufacturing processes.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide technical support to manufacturing teams, production supervisors, and associates.
• Analyze product and process workflows to identify opportunities for cost reduction, quality improvements, and efficiency gains.
• Develop and refine manufacturing sequences to optimize operations.
• Collaborate with vendors to design and implement production-specific equipment.
• Ensure safety requirements are implemented and maintained across equipment and processes.
• Create and optimize process layouts to improve production efficiency.
• Partner with maintenance teams to reduce downtime and improve overall system performance.
• Manage capital projects, including equipment specifications, budgeting, planning, and implementation.
• Work closely with the Product Engineering team to support new product development and implementation.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

What We Look For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
• 3-5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and production processes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with CNC programming is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Language and Communication Skills:

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, professional journals, and governmental regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write reports and effectively present information.

Technical Proficiency:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and other software relevant to manufacturing operations.
• Familiarity with Outlook and pricing software is an advantage.

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, and reach with arms.
• Must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb or balance as needed.

Work Environment:

• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and moderate noise levels.
• Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions and vibrations.
