JOB DESCRIPTION

The Market Development Manager (MDM) is highly skilled on their knowledge of Abstrakt, the product and process. They are expertly trained in setting appointments with qualified prospects through an omni-channel approach for Abstrakt that show up for their scheduled pitch and are good potential partners for the company. The Market Development Manager will spend their day prospecting for the highest level of sales reps in the Executive Sales Department to start their career connected to sales. The Market Development Manager is highly motivated to help the company grow by setting up opportunities for our sales reps to sell new partners and provide growth for the Outbound division and the rest of the company. The MDM will have previously held an SDR position where they excelled in setting appointments for our clients or have relevant sales experience of 1+ years outside of Abstrakt. A high performing MDM will have the intangible talents of work ethic, grit and ability to overcome adversity, outgoing personality to engage prospects to show to appointments and the adaptability to change between various niches and produce a high volume. Ultimately, the MDM role is vital to the company because it is pre-qualifying prospects for the omni-channel approach and vetting out the potential viability of partners for Abstrakt’s continuous revenue growth.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The MDM holds the decision-making power of choosing what companies to funnel into the Omni-Channel approach each month in their allocated sales territory.
  • The MDM spends everyday prospecting through outbound calling, inboxing in email and conversations via LI platform to vet out their viability of becoming a potential partner with Abstrakt and running omni-channel approach along with nurturing the prospects until they meet with Abstrakt.
  • The MDM will research the viability of new partners, document the process of their vetting and then ultimately only reach out to contact the best fits for potential partners of Abstrakt by selecting them for their monthly omni-channel approach and turn in pre-qualified list to Sales Enablement Operations team.
  • The MDM will be involved in the decision-making process of farming out new niches for Abstrakt to confirm viability of niche and the ROI they will receive with Abstrakt’s Outbound BDR program.
  • Set up qualified date and time appointments for the Senior Account Executive Team to help them sell new partners and exceed sales and growth goals on a monthly basis.
  • Market Development Manager’s will be responsible for a determined number of appointments they source in their aligned sales territory given to them and a certain amount of held pitches based on a minimum blended 65% show rate with blended channels.
  • MDM’s will be responsible for causing a minimum of 3 full deals sold on a monthly basis toward sales goal.
  • MDM’s are responsible for following the Live Connect Zoom Process in order to maintain the highest show rate possible for the Executive Sales Team.
  • MDM’s are responsible for daily following tasks assigned to them in CRM for omni-channel approach based on where prospects are at in the process.
  • MDM’s will occasionally be inserted back into the sales process and help Senior AE’s re-engage a prospect who has gone dark in the sales process.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent Cold Calling Abilities-preferred higher performance on Pipeline Prior

  • Highly skilled in salesmanship and appointment setting
  • Highly skilled in objection handling
  • Vast background of industries that Abstrakt excels in and how these companies make money so they can determine what prospects are the best fit
