Job summary:
As a Portfolio Credit Officer – Executive Director within the JPMorgan Wealth Management (JPMWM) Credit Risk team, you will play a significant role in managing risk and supporting the JPMorgan Wealth Management credit portfolio. You will help us grow our business responsibly by anticipating new and emerging risks and using expert judgment to solve real-world challenges. You will manage credit exposure, focusing on credit risk management for clients covered by the JPMorgan Advisors business. You will be accountable for managing credit risks arising from counterparties, trading, investments, industries, geographies, and clients. You will partner effectively with clients, business partners, and risk colleagues to mitigate risk while structuring and approving credit transactions.

Job responsibilities:

• Manage credit risk management on the Credit Risk portfolio focused on JPMorgan Advisors, ensuring portfolio risks are within acceptable quality and loss tolerances.
• Develop the JPMWM Risk Appetite for wholesale loans, mortgages, and trading exposures.
• Manage various types of Custom Credit facilities, including Custom Lending and Securities-Based exposures.
• Collaborate with team members across LOBs and businesses for project management.
• Identify and monitor concentrations, trends, and themes in the portfolio, directing Portfolio Reviews and managing Risk exceptions.
• Partner with the Business to build a culture of Risk discipline and promote an integrated approach to credit decisions.
• Maintain satisfactory Audits across the credit portfolio.
• Prepare Portfolio Review presentations.
• Challenge the status quo and strive for efficient credit risk management and business flow.
• Manage and develop junior Credit Officers and Analysts.
• Drive efficiency with existing technical infrastructure through automation and embrace innovative technologies.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related area.
• Minimum of 10 years in a similar banking or credit role, with experience in structuring complex credit transactions.
• Proven skills in loan structuring, complex finance structures, negotiating, credit analysis, and portfolio management.
• Strong decision-making capabilities and ability to propose solutions and build strong partnerships.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare executive-level communications.
• Advanced knowledge of the high net worth industry and capital and financial markets.
• Strong sense of accountability and ability to operate independently and foster an inclusive environment.
