The role youll contribute:

The RN Surgery Scheduler is responsible for scheduling Surgical and Endoscopy patients in the Epic Scheduling Module; obtaining and entering accurate insurance information; answering incoming phone calls; transcribing physician orders and sending to appropriate departments.

• Competence with Epic Scheduling module. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, balance and reconcile figures, punctuate properly, spell correctly and transcribe accurately.




• Communicates clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing.




• Ability to work effectively with other employees, physician offices and external parties.




• Establishes and maintains long-term customer relationships, building trust and respect by consistently meeting and exceeding expectations.




• Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of organizational policies, procedures and systems.

The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed:

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate from accredited professional school of nursing




• At least two years experience in patient care in a hospital setting required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior scheduling experience preferred




• Knowledge of outpatient procedures preferred
