Job Description



The Red Gate Group is hiring a Senior Project Manager to support the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) within the National Capital Region. In this critical leadership role, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex technical projects that directly support national defense and intelligence missions.

We are looking for a strategic thinker and experienced project leader who thrives in high-tempo environments. You’ll work closely with government stakeholders, technical teams, and contractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with mission priorities. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical acumen, executive-level communication skills, and deep familiarity with DoD or Intelligence Community operations.

This is a high-visibility opportunity for a PMP-certified professional (or equivalent) to lead across the full program lifecycle—from initial planning and requirements gathering to execution and stakeholder reporting.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead planning, scheduling, and execution of IT and enterprise data projects

  • Engage directly with CIO offices, senior leadership, and mission stakeholders

  • Oversee budgets, contracts, and resources while managing the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)

  • Provide ongoing reporting, roadmaps, and performance updates to DIA leadership

  • Support integration efforts across the DoDIIS enterprise and other federal partners

  • Guide data governance, acquisition strategy, and process improvement initiatives

  • Maintain or oversee an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for complex projects

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI w/ CI Polygraph

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred

  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience , including at least 6 years in project management

  • Strong command of project lifecycle methodologies and tools, including MS Project, SharePoint, and Visio

  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills

  • PMP certification or equivalent

  • Experience with DoD or Intelligence Community (IC) project management

  • Familiarity with DI2E , JARM , and federal data strategies
