Over our 105-year history as a co-operative, Sunsweet has become the world's largest and most famous brand of dried tree fruits like prunes, apricots, mangos, and more! We have grown to represent nearly 200 grower-members with orchards throughout California - which accounts for more than 25% of prune production around the world. That's about 50,000 tons of our world famous Sunsweet Prunes a year.
Our signature products are Sunsweet Prune Juice and Sunsweet Pitted Prunes. We have the largest retail market share for both of these products.
Sunsweet has a 1,000,000 square foot prune pitting and bottling facility in Yuba City, a 385,000 square foot bottling facility in Pennsylvania and a new 100,000 square foot prune pitting facility in Chile.
In addition to our Sunsweet branded products, Sunsweet Copack beverages for Pepsi, Tropicana, and Ocean Spray.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES
The following duties are normal for this position.These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive.Other related duties may be required and assigned.
- Assist Corporate Controller and Assistant Controller in the performance of month-end close.
- Assist Corporate Controller during external audit providing support for Fixed Assets, Construction in progress, and lease accounting entries.
- Manage capital spending, analysis, accounting and reporting
- Manage lease accounting in Lease Crunch. ASC 842 implemented 2 years ago.
- Prepare monthly reporting and analysis for company retail operations
- Provide analytical support for tax reporting
- Assist Cash Manager and be backup for company's cash management
- Help bring SAP 4/Hana online.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge/Skills:
- Analytical outlook and experience with financial reporting
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and fixed asset accounting
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. SAP)
- Advanced Excel Skills
- Advanced Accounting experience to include fixed assets
Ability to:
- Respects confidentiality of privileged information.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues from other departments
- Problem solving skills to ensure accuracy, consistency, and ethical practices
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- 6+ years of agriculture or manufacturing accounting experience
- Desire for growth into a management role
Physical/Safety Requirements:
- Tolerate extended periods of sitting at desk.
- Ambient noise is louder than a traditional office setting.
