The Role:

The Cage Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Cage for Bally’s Black Hawk. Ensures all transactions and banking are performed correctly while adhering to Colorado regulations and in-house policies. Supervises personnel, resolves any issues and provides training to staff. Keeps senior management informed regarding daily proceedings. Assists with and remedies disputes. Ensures that team members are well informed regarding casino operations and marketing promotions.

Responsibilities:

• Provides the highest level of service to guests of the casinos and promotes positive interactions and experiences.
• Applies fair and consistent supervision.
• Assists in hiring, termination, and disciplinary actions.
• Assists Cashiers in buys and even exchanges with the cage area.
• Assist with the planning and budget preparation for the department.
• Plans work schedules and assignments for direct reports. Cover for call outs and PTO.
• Assists Cashiers in reconciliation during opening and closing.
• Assists training Team Members of new/proper procedures of each window and cross train new team members.
• Assists in guests needs while supervising Team Members.
• Monitors the performance of direct reports, ensuring adherence to all Bally’s and Departmental policies and procedures.
• Completes deposits.
• Ensures balancing of all cash banks.
• Monitor and maintains kiosks and ATM status and balances.
• Make change for guests and exchange coin/chip for cash.
• Safeguards Casino assets.
• Maintains excellent guest and team member relations.
• Comply with Title 31 requirements.
• Troubleshoots coin and currency counting equipment problems.
• Initiates investigations of variances.
• Completes Team Member annual performance review.
• Cleans Jet Scans and other cage equipment when necessary.
• Maintains excellent communication with team members and Managers.
• Documents and informs the Cage Manager of all incidents or disputes relating to guest, team member and inter departments.
• Contributes team effort and accomplishes related results as required.
• Counsels and mentors cashiers on performance.
• Maintains a dependable work attendance record
• Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• 5 years casino cage experience or equivalent preferred.
• Prior cash handling and gaming experience required.
• 1-2 years supervisor experience preferred.
• Knowledge and proficient in basic mathematics.
• Knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering and Title 31 regulations.
• Familiarity with all cage functions and available to work all shifts.
• Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds with team members at all levels.
• Skill in problem solving and sound decision making.
• Skill in typing and 10-key operation.
• Skill in operating business computers and office machines, including in a Windows environment, specifically Word, Excel and Power Point

Target Salary Range: (Post $ 62,000)
