Feel free to enrich both your personal and work life and hop on board! **Why you'll love this job** This job is a member of the Payroll Tax Team within the Finance Division responsible for Payroll Tax reporting. **What you'll do** + ​Provide leadership, motivation, and development for employees. + Lead and supervise payroll tax staff to ensure accurate and timely payroll tax withholding, reporting and processing. + Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. + Analyze business processes, making changes as necessary to increase efficiencies, while maintaining compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) processing requirements. + Maintain a strong understanding of payroll tax laws and ensure accurate reporting and compliance. + Create and maintain up-to-date documentation of payroll procedures and workflows. + Provide communication to all levels of management as required **All you'll need for success** **Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience** + 5 years of Payroll Tax or Accounting + Experience with a large payroll system (e.g. SAP) **Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience** + ​​Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent experience/training + 3 years of supervisory experience in a business environment **Skills, Licenses & Certifications** + Ability to demonstrate excellent analytical and organizational skills + Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize projects with conflicting deadlines + Ability to be flexible and capable of adapting to constant change + Must work well under tight deadlines and high stress situations + Ability to think critically, analyze problems, and develop creative solutions + Ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail and well-organized + Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Excel + Ability to demonstrate an absolute commitment to customer service **What you'll get** Feel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer: + Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
