Job Description

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods, managing inventory, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operations Management:
  • Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, and shipping of goods.
  • Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment, including picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization to maximize efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain inventory management systems and procedures.
  • Monitor and analyze inventory levels to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Manage and coordinate warehouse staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and reconcile with company systems.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory to ensure accuracy.
  • Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Manage stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of inventory.
  • Staff Management:
  • Lead, motivate, and train warehouse staff to achieve performance goals.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.
  • Address and resolve employee issues and concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Logistics and Shipping:
  • Coordinate with suppliers and transportation providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
  • Manage shipping schedules and ensure accurate and timely shipping of orders.
  • Resolve shipping issues and claims.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and training.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
  • Maintain effective communication with other departments and clients.
  • Provide regular updates on warehouse operations and performance.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and projects.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or Business Administration
  • 8-10 years of experience in warehouse/distribution management
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management software and systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
  • Proficiency in WMS
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
