Job Description

Our client is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Manager to oversee day-to-day shipping and receiving operations. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys mentoring a team, and can balance attention to detail with the big picture of keeping product moving efficiently.

What You’ll Do

• Coordinate shipping and receiving schedules in partnership with the sales and buying teams.
• Supervise and train warehouse staff, including shipping and receiving clerks.
• Verify inbound and outbound loads against purchase orders to ensure accuracy.
• Manage workflow in the warehouse management system (WMS) and train staff on system use.
• Monitor inventory and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate with internal teams to minimize delays and resolve issues quickly.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations for warehouse staff.
• Support special projects such as equipment management and process improvements.
• Ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with company standards.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree or 3–5 years of shipping/receiving experience in produce, food distribution, or related industry.
• 3–5 years of leadership experience managing warehouse teams.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-changing environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and warehouse systems.
• A collaborative leader with the ability to motivate, train, and develop staff.
