Position: Warehouse Team Lead 1st Shift $21/hr Location: Phillipsburg, NJ Duration: Potential for Long-Term Company Overview: Nippon, a leader in global trade management, partners with Integrity Staffing Solutions (ISS) to find motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Team Lead to join their dynamic team. Shift Leads are responsible for all day-to-day operations taking place on their scheduled shift. Through the use of trend analysis, reporting, and personal observations, we ensure our hourly associates receive the support and guidance needed to successfully perform their role for the Client. Shift offered: Monday through Saturday availability needed Possible overtime on Sunday Willingness to work a 8 to 10 hour rotating shift schedule if needed 40 hour per week commitment Bi-Lingual in Spanish highly preferred Pay Rate: $21/hour Weekly pay The Warehouse Team Leader is Responsible for assisting the Supervisor in directing and supervising the warehouse operations. Coordinate and lead warehouse activities daily. Under the direction of Warehouse operation management, he/she is responsible for the receiving, warehousing, and shipping of product within the Company's service and cost objectives. Essential Functions An individual must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
•Participate in site and company project teams with a focus on process improvement.
•Participate in implementing work schedules and ensuring that jobs are assigned effectively and completed properly.
•Lead and coordinate unloading and stacking of inbound shipments and the picking and staging of outbound shipments.
•Promote the efficient and safe operation of product handling equipment.
•Maintain product location system and ensure optimal utilization of space through warehouse consolidation.
•Complete all necessary reports in timely and accurate fashion.
•General business support function as assigned.
•Perform all daily job functions required of a Warehouse Worker/Checker such as storing, packing, picking, shipping, and receiving.
•Lead the Warehouse staff by instructing, assisting and providing support.
•Monitors outbound activities.
•Assist in inventory control.
•Assist in managing space utilization.
•Coordinate with other departments to resolve any issues.
•Ensures staff is following company policies. •HS Diploma or GED
•Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
•Approximately 3 years department or industry experience.
•Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse, distribution and/or transportation.
•Must be able to demonstrate leadership.
•Knowledge of material handling, warehouse operations and transportation.
•This position requires that you stand for long periods of time.
•Must be able to pull, lift and bend. Must be able to lift minimum 20lbs.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Intermediate to Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PP
•Ability to operate and problem solve in a fast paced, and fluid environment
•Ability to adjust schedule for work overtime and be present during changing business needs
•Desire to learn and develop beyond current role
